1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website or service stores in your browser. Similar technologies can include browser storage and information held temporarily while a page is open. They can support access, security, preferences or optional functions such as analytics and advertising.
This policy explains the current corporate website. How personal information is handled more generally is set out in our Privacy Policy.
A cookie may relate to a single browser session or remain for a longer period set by the service that creates it. Not every item of information held by a web page is a cookie: an unsent form entry in memory, a browser’s saved autofill details and a server-held enquiry record are different forms of information with different controls.
2. What this website currently uses
The corporate website application does not set analytics or advertising cookies, run third-party analytics scripts or use marketing pixels. It does not create advertising profiles from your visits or send your cursor movements to an analytics service. The animated ocean background and cursor effects respond locally within the page.
The enquiry form temporarily holds your entries and a retry identifier while it is open. The identifier allows a repeated submission to be recognised so that a retry does not create duplicate enquiry records. This temporary page state is not a persistent saved draft in browser storage. Once an enquiry is accepted, its record is held by the enquiry service under the Privacy Policy, separately from any cookies in your browser.
Language selection takes you to the corresponding language page address rather than setting an application preference cookie. Browser features such as autofill, caching and restoring tabs are controlled by your browser and may behave differently from the website’s own temporary state.
The hosting or sign-in platform may use essential cookies or similar technologies to maintain an authenticated session, control access and protect the service, particularly where website access is restricted. Those platform functions are distinct from advertising or optional visitor analytics.
3. Hosting and sign-in services
Essential access and security technologies may be controlled by the platform that hosts the website or provides sign-in, rather than by the corporate website application. Their use depends on the platform, your session and any access restrictions in place.
The platform’s privacy and cookie information applies to its own account and session processing. Blocking necessary access cookies may prevent sign-in or access to a restricted site. We do not use an optional advertising-cookie setting as a condition of submitting a corporate enquiry.
Signing out of a platform account, changing that platform’s privacy settings and clearing browser data are different actions. A setting on the corporate website does not necessarily change the sign-in provider’s own account or security processing. Refer to the relevant provider’s information when managing a platform session.
4. Storage and duration
Session cookies generally relate to a browser session; persistent cookies remain until they expire or are deleted. The names and lifetimes of platform-managed cookies are determined by the relevant provider and can be inspected through your browser’s site-information or cookie settings.
Temporary page state is different from a cookie and is not a guaranteed saved draft. Do not rely on the website to preserve unsubmitted form details after you leave or reload. Browser autofill, cache and restored tabs may retain information under your own browser settings.
The period for retaining a submitted enquiry is governed by the purpose and retention considerations in the Privacy Policy, not by a browser cookie’s expiry. Clearing a browser session cannot serve as a deletion request for information already received by us or by a separate service.
5. Your browser choices
Your browser can usually show stored site data, delete cookies, block selected cookies or restrict third-party cookies. Apply the settings that suit your needs, remembering that blocking essential session data can interrupt access or sign-in.
Deleting cookies does not delete an enquiry already received by Whalestein Group. Use the contact details in the Privacy Policy for a request about stored enquiry information. On a shared device, also review saved form information and sign out of any hosting-platform account.
Settings may apply to one site, one browser profile or the whole browser. If you use several browsers or devices, review each relevant environment separately. Private-browsing modes and third-party-cookie restrictions do not necessarily prevent a hosting provider from processing the technical information needed to deliver a request, and they do not withdraw information you choose to submit.
6. Linked platforms and websites
The corporate website links to separate platforms, including the Investor Portal and Sonar Intelligence, and to external research sources. Visiting a destination may allow that service to use its own cookies and storage under its policies.
A link alone does not transfer your corporate enquiry record to that destination. Review the destination’s cookie and privacy information before entering personal information or changing its settings.
7. Changes and contact
We will update this policy if the website’s use of these technologies changes. If optional analytics or advertising tools are introduced, we will provide the information and choices required before using them, including consent where applicable. The date above identifies the current website edition.
